Drag your suitcase to the front desk and check in on the tenth floor. I was a little surprised when waiting for the elevator, but the front desk efficiency was good. I received my room card in three minutes and even handed over a map of Humen cuisine, which was a small surprise. The room is on a high floor. When you open the door, the first thing you do is not to see the scenery, but to find an electrical outlet. Two on the table, two by the bedside, and one by the sofa, enough to handle laptops, phones, and power banks online at the same time. The Wi Fi signal was full, and I conducted a video conference test on the spot. The screen was smooth and uninterrupted, and my restless heart fell to the ground. The room is spacious enough, over fifty square meters, with clear distinction between the office area and the rest area. I spread out my suitcase, hung my suit in the wardrobe, placed my computer on the desk, and set up a temporary workstation in ten minutes. The brightness of the desk lamp can be adjusted, allowing you to sit down and write plans or reply to emails without feeling sore in your waist or tired in your eyes. The bed is a 1.8-meter large bed with adjustable pillows. I tried a low pillow and fell asleep unconsciously after a few messages while lying on the bed. Waking up in the early morning, the night view of Humen outside the window was so quiet that only scattered car lights remained. The next day's breakfast was at the Sea Light Restaurant on the 61st floor. There are a variety of self-help products, including Cantonese Dim sum, instant noodles, western cold dishes, and fresh juice. I brought a bowl of Wonton noodles, two shrimp dumplings, and a cup of American style, sat near the window, ate and watched the city slowly wake up. After finishing the meal and checking out downstairs, the front desk also included a parking voucher, saving more than ten yuan in parking fees. Although the details are small, this set is the best for business travel.
In terms of shortcomings, the hotel has been open for some years and the decoration style tends to be conservative and old-fashioned, lacking some of the technological sense of a new hotel. The entrance sign of the parking lot is not prominent enough, so I took a detour to find it. It's a bit inconvenient if I'm in a hurry. But on second thought, business trips are not vacations, there is no need to be too stunning. They are clean, quiet, have good internet access, have a stable breakfast, and are conveniently located. If all of these are taken into account, it has already passed the exam and is above average.

In the scorching summer of July, I set foot in Humen, Dongguan and stayed in this landmark building standing on Humen Avenue - Mels Weldon Dongguan Humen. The moment I pushed open the door and entered, I knew that this journey was destined to encounter a high-altitude dream unexpectedly.
First impression: Quiet coordinates amidst the hustle and bustle
The hotel is located at the front desk on the 10th floor of Zhenghe Center Building. At first, there was a sense of being "hidden in the city" - the lobby was not on the first floor, and one had to take the elevator directly up, which added a touch of mystery. Ms. Chen at the front desk smiled warmly and efficiently checked in. She also thoughtfully handed over a welcome fruit platter, instantly relieving the exhaustion of the journey. The hotel is adjacent to the Guangzhou Shenzhen Yangtze River Expressway, about 36 kilometers away from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, and only 6.4 kilometers away from Humen Railway Station. The transportation is well connected, making it easy for both business and travel.
Room: 53 square meters of cloud private enjoyment
I stayed in a selected king size bed room located on the 53rd floor. When the door is opened, the wide french window immediately spread the skyline of the whole Humen Town - all lights and neon lights flow around, giving you a panoramic view. The room covers an area of over 53 square meters, with high-end bedding that is soft and skin friendly. There is a separate bathtub and shower room, and a TV is embedded in the bathroom mirror. The details are quite ingenious. Indeed, as a hotel that opened in 2010, some facilities have traces of time, but overall maintenance is still acceptable, with bright and clean windows, and a comfortable stay. At night, the hustle and bustle of the city is quietly filtered by the high-rise buildings, and I have a good night's sleep until the morning light wakes me up through the curtains.
Breakfast: Taste Feast on the 61st Floor
The Hai Zhi Guang buffet restaurant is located on the 61st floor of the hotel, which is the biggest surprise of this trip. The 360 degree panoramic french window makes dining itself a visual ceremony. Five open kitchens take turns presenting Asian buffet and international cuisine, offering a wide range of Western, Chinese, and local flavors. The breakfast time is crowded, but the order is orderly, with a reasonable combination of hot and cold dishes and abundant fresh fruits. Standing on the clouds eating breakfast, overlooking this ancient town that has experienced the ups and downs of modern times, one can't help but feel the grandeur of "overlooking all the small mountains".
The accumulation of over 4000 nights has endowed Mels Weldon Dongguan Humen with a unique calmness and confidence.
